BattleSauce CookBook Kickstarter delayed until Spring 2024.

Creating the World’s Tastiest RPBG™ indie game with only two people can be daunting and time-consuming. It’s also tons of fun. My cohort, Adam, and I know all too well that it takes patience to craft a high-quality product, and rushing to release content is not the optimal strategy. We strive to produce the best possible product, and we understand that it may take time and effort to achieve our goals. Although we are eager to share our progress - it’s done! -, we have decided to postpone the launch of the BattleSauce CookBook Kickstarter campaign until the spring of 2024. While this may disappoint those eagerly anticipating our project, we believe this delay is necessary for several reasons, and it comes with a few benefits we are excited to share with our supporters.

Perhaps the most decisive factor influencing our decision to delay is the seasonal nature of crowdfunding platforms, especially KS. Historically, November and December are slow months for campaigns due to the holiday season and the busy schedule of potential backers with holiday activities and gift shopping - and sadly, our book couldn’t be delivered in time for gift giving. Therefore, we have decided to shift our launch to the spring to ensure maximum visibility and engagement for our campaign.

But this is actually good news as we now have extended development time. We believe in creating a game that meets and exceeds our player's expectations, and we can focus more on the development process, allowing us to fine-tune and polish the game to perfection.

Quality should always take precedence, and this extra time will enable us to listen to feedback from playtesters, iterate on the gameplay, and make necessary improvements. Our ultimate goal is to deliver a product worth the wait, ensuring a memorable gaming experience for all who support us.

In addition to a more favorable crowdfunding season and extended development, the extra time will allow us to enhance our marketing and outreach efforts. We want to ensure that our game reaches as many potential backers as possible, which requires careful planning, communication, and building anticipation.

We'll be able to create captivating content, share sneak peeks, and engage with our community on a deeper level. This extended runway will allow us to build a stronger relationship with our backers, gather valuable insights, and generate excitement for our upcoming Kickstarter launch.
